This is a short seo tutorial about search engine optimization and how to
get search engine traffic to your new offer,service or whatever you wish to promote.
It is pretty straight forward so let start the guide.
Find a keyword with around 6000 searches per month, use google keyword tool
to find it. Then analyze the competition for that keyword with Traffic Travis
free software. If the top ten sites in google includes web 2.0 sites, like youtube,
squidoo and hubpages etc, and the keyword you are after is not included in any of
the top ten domains, it is good. If the backlinks number is below 500 in most of
the top ten sites you are good to go. Do this procedure until you find a keyword
that meet these criteria or at least it’s a bit close to it.
It is not impossible to rank for keywords with higher competition but you have
to do much more work and spend more money to get to the top ten.
When you have a keyword, go and get a domain with that keyword in it.
If the .com is taken use site, spot or point after the keyword and if that
is also taken, go for .net and so on.
Use the google wonderwheel to get some extra keyword suggestion to your main
keyword.
When you are ready with the title, description and keywords for your new site,
it is time to install wordpress. Use these great plugins: Platinum SEO,
Google XML Sitemaps and cbnet Ping Optimizer. Another really great plugin is
SEO pressor, this plugin helps you to optimize every post you make.
When everything is set up, it is time to start building backlinks.
You can always use free backlinks but if you like to save time and spend time
on other things you can go for paid backlinks.
